Migration from Windows PC to Mac
Let’s say you have a Windows PC and you’ve decided to use a Mac as your new primary computer. You have a large amount of data on your old PC that you’d like to transfer to your new Mac. There are many ways to copy this data between the two computers, but all of them require either intermediate storage or a network share available to store the data during the conversion process. Paragon NTFS-HFS Converter is able to convert NTFS volumes in-place, and without data loss, to HFS+ volumes directly. All you need to do is plug your old hard disk drive into your Mac after the conversion.
Boot Camp de-installation
Assume that you have a Mac with a Boot Camp configuration, with both NTFS and HFS+ volumes on one (or several) hard disk drives. You decide to keep only one operating system and delete the other: either Windows or OS X. You find that your important data is stored on both NTFS and HFS+ volumes, and you want to preserve it. Paragon NTFS-HFS Converter is able to convert all HFS+ and NTFS volumes to the file system supported by your operating system of choice – NTFS for Windows and HFS+ for Mac OS X – while all data remains intact. You do not need to perform any additional copy operations to intermediate storage, or manipulate file systems and volumes to perform conversions.
External media conversion
Assume that you have an external storage device with important data which is formatted using the HFS+ file system and your Windows PC cannot access it. You can easily convert the file system on the external storage device to NTFS in order to use it without limitation on your Windows PC. Conversion is also very useful if you need to transfer your data to HFS+ volumes when using a Windows PC which is not natively able to create and format HFS+ volumes. Use Paragon NTFS-HFS Converter to convert your desired NTFS volumes to HFS+ volumes and easily access the data from a Mac.
