Viewing media files from external storage on Android device

Attach a HDD media library to your Android device (including Android-based media players, phones and tablets) and watch movies, pictures, etc. When WiFi is not available, you can copy or move files between your Android device and any USB storage (depending of your external device, an external power supply might be required).

Easy data interchange between HFS+ formatted storages and your Android device

Mac OS user copies a new movie onto an HFS+ formatted portable HDD to play on a friend’s Android-based media player. Due to the lack of a built-in HFS+ driver, the movie cannot be viewed.

Key features

  • Mount on boot: automatically mount all NTFS and HFS+ partitions available on boot completion
  • Mount on connect: automatically mount NTFS and HFS+ partitions when a new media is connected
  • Ability to change default mount point
  • Verify/repair utility
  • Format to NTFS/HFS+ utility
  • Improved user interface that you will like
  • ExFAT evaluation mode - for OEMs only

System requirements

  • ARM architecture
  • Android from 2.3.3 till 5.x (Android 5.x support is limited, Android 6.0 is not supported)
  • Root access is required. If your device is not rooted and you don’t want to root it, use our non-root solution - Paragon exFAT / NTFS / FAT32 / HFS+ for Total Commander for Android (free download here >>)
  • Fuse kernel module is required

  • Android changed its security policy in versions 5.0 and higher. That's why Android 5.x support is limited. If your device is based on these versions, in order to read files, you first need to copy them from the external storage to the internal device memory or a memory card via any root-privileged file manager (e.g., Total Commander). After that you will be able to read the files
  • The app doesn't support Android 6.0 due to its even higher security restrictions. We are very sorry for the inconvenience
